Lessay is known for the famous "Fair of Sainte-Coix", which takes place the second week of September, and an abbey where concerts are held throughout the year. The small town is well located for visiting the local beaches (Créances 10 minutes away), the chic seaside resorts of Barneville-Carteret and Granville and offers a range of shops, supermarkets and restaurants within a few minutes' walk. Local street markets (Portbail, La Haye du Puits, Barneville-Carteret and Pirou-Plage are all nearby)

 

This city offers you a unique landscape whose ecological richness has earned it the status of being classified in the European network "Natura 2000" with the "Landes de Lessay" which surround the town and "Le Havre de Lessay" not far from the sea. The Mathon peat bog, classified as a National Natural Reserve, also constitutes a heritage where nature is preserved.
